Here's a selection of travel journals to a number of European destinations, and please forgive my very flexible, and entirely apolitical definiton of Europe given that I have included trips to Georgia and Turkey. I have been to many European places, but my travel experiences pale in comparison with those of my friend Tony; Phileas Fogg, Michael Palin and Paul Theroux rolled into one. The man has spent half of the last 40 years travelling around the globe, clocking up an impressive 112 countries.
